Thursday 11 P.M. But I’m so tired. If it were not that if had made this blog/journal a duty I should not open it tonight. Today was a good day, taking in to account that I was at client site. A lot of walking and super hot day and very humid.

The day started early something around 6:50 A.M. with me new alarm clock: The Rock Clock, from by buddy The Rock Dwayne Johnson. It is a very simple, fun and useful application to use as a alarm clock. The hint? has not snooze button. 🙂

So I wake up and had my morning orange juice. I see thru the window, it’s sunrise, and I have to get ready to go to Jurong Island. This is one of the part island – part reclaim territory by Singapore government in order to install industrial facilities away from the city. Sounds smart and practical, the only issue is finding myself a taxi to go there. But first of all I have to go meet one of the my colleagues at our office. He’s a dude from Philippines.

The trip to the office is just a quick ride on a bus. After some time using this service I can see something interesting. Not a lot of western people there, not to say that I might be the only one… nevertheless Singapore has a lot of white people, that’s how they called us around here.
At buses and train always a lot of Asian, Indians, but where are these mother f… westerns??

It’s a beautiful day. Sunny, cloudy and a little windy. Means rain is coming. This is the Singapore version of Game of Thrones: “winter is coming” 😀 . I can’t help to think about my past days in Costa Rica. Oohhh that beautiful land. With so much potential, natural resources, privileged geographical location, very convenient weather, and the people!… all wasted… 🙁 . I guess that’s why I left my land to find better places to test my capabilities.

Road to work

Now in the office, nothing “interesting”, just engineering stuff that probably the majority of the people wouldn’t find as a good topic for conversation. A/C here is blowing, need to wear a coat because its freezing!! Some hours later, after doing what I supposed to be doing here, it’s time to leave home. Finally, because I’m starving! lunch portions here are quite small and I am used to eat a little more than just chicken rice.

Still a beautiful day, not that hot because it rained a little bit. The pedestrian bridge to cross the street its always full of nice beautiful pink flowers, and you can see green everywhere. The government housing buildings and roads blend with some nature in this area of town.

Sunrise is just past 7 PM, and I can see from my balcony the colors of sunset. The sun, the clouds, and the big cranes at ports that remind me once more where I am. It’s time to hit the gym, get stronger and relax at the pool, have some food and sleep. Repeat.
